Sayward our departure point for all tours is a 45 minute drive from Campbell River on North/Central Vancouver Island or a 2 hour drive from Port Hardy on Northern Vancouver Island.

Airlines
Pacific Coast Airlines fly from Vancouver to Campbell River 8 times per day. Tickets start at $89 per person one way when booked 2 weeks in advance. Please call them at 1-800-663-2872.
West Jet flies direct from Calgary to Comox 2 times per day. Their flights start at $139 per person one way. Please call them at 1-800-538-5696 to book your flight.
Kenmore Air flies direct from Seattle to Campbell River by Sea plane. Please call them at 1-800-543-9595.

Otherwise, you can rent a car at either the Comox or Campbell River Airport or take a taxi - there are several companies in the yellow pages. Taxis cost approximately $150 each way.

Driving directions to Sayward starting in Victoria
(includes Nanaimo):
From Victoria to Sayward the drive is approximately 4 hours. Leaving Victoria, highway #1 will become highway #19 as you pass through Duncan. Continue on highway #19 to Nanaimo. As you enter south Nanaimo, the quickest way is to take the Parkway and by-pass the city center in Nanaimo. Follow the signs that direct you around the city. If you are arriving into the Nanaimo ferry terminal, follow the signs that direct you north to Courtenay/Campbell River as you exit the terminal.
From Nanaimo, take the Island Highway #19 north to Campbell River, approximately 1.5 hours. Continue north past Campbell River. When passing through Campbell River, be sure to follow the signs that direct you north towards Port Hardy (hwy .#19 North)
From Campbell River continue north and exit at the signs indicating the turnoff to Sayward. You will see the miniature big house style information booth and kwakwaka‘wakw welcoming man at the Sayward junction. This is our Tourism Information Office. At the highway #19 /Sayward rd junction you will come to Cypress Tree Inn Pub and Family Restaurant turn right here. The Fisher Boy Hotel is about .5 of a kilometer down the road on the right hand side. The hotel is composed of newer white buildings and cabins with a wooden boy fishing out front. Another 11 kilometers down the road, you will find the The Port of Kelsey Bay dock/ wharf. Look for Ric and our boat named Getinsum on the lower dock. You can't miss him and he will be expecting you. or go into the Ocean View Gifts at the wharf and ask for directions from one of the friendly staff.
Driving directions from Port Hardy ferry terminal to Sayward:
When you reach the main intersection with highway #19 after leaving the ferry, turn left to travel south. Within about 25 minutes, you will pass by the turn off to Port McNeill. If you wish to stop, this little city has some nice restaurants and is only a 5 minute drive off of the highway. 5 minutes further along on the left hand side of the road is an Esso gas stations and convenience store. Stop here if you need to since this will be the last place for gas and indoor comfort for a little while. Carry on southward and the next intersection will lead to Telegraph Cove. This little resort community is a 20 minute drive off the highway along a winding road. Businesses in this area are only open during the summer months.
40 minutes past the Telegraph Cove turn off on the right hand side is the small community of Woss. They have a pub, gas station, restaurant, hotel and convenience store. 45minutes south of Woss is Sayward Junction. You will notice the miniature big house style tourist information booth and native welcoming pole at the intersection. Then follow the directions from the turn off as given above in the driving directions from Victoria.
